I am a second-year student at Northeastern University pursuing a B.A. in journalism. 

While I am studying in Boston, I am is currently a staff writer for Northeastern's independent student newspaper, where I also write as a  Student Government Association beat writer. I have  previously worked for FREESKIER magazine where I helped launch their annual buyers guide. I also have previous experience at WCVB Channel 5 News, where I produced and wrote a package about Juneteenth celebrations in the greater Boston area.

On May 31, Marcelo Gomes Da Silva, an 18-year-old rising senior at Milford High School, was unexpectedly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, officials while en route to volleyball practice.
